Why not book a private gondola tour with a special theme. Step on board an original Venetian gondola, lean back in the comfortable pillows and enjoy the view, a glass of Prosecco in hand, as the gondolier takes you through the most beautiful canal cities in Holland. The gondola seat two to six passengers. You can choose among various themes and routes. For instance the tours: 'Gondola sul Canale' or 'Aperitivo'. You decide if the tour last half an hour, one hour or one and a half hour. Our rates varies from € 50,00, depending on how long you want to stay onboard and what else you would like to have on board. You can order a bottle of our very best prosecco too! The tour of one and a half hour is the most beautiful and romantic one and takes you to very special places, for instance: The Pope's' House! the small canals around the St. Pieterchurch and many other places. Since motorboats are prohibited from sailing on this canals, you can enjoy the impressive silence and imagine yourself in the Middle Ages. You can find us in the heart of Utrecht near the Domtower. Our boardingplace is near Oudegracht (tolsteegzijde) no. 177 and take than the stairs down to the canal. When we are active, you will find a sign on top of the stairs. The Gondolier of Utrecht has been chosen as part of Hidden Holland 2008, a theme year and initiative of the Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC), which has selected around 120 locations, tourism sites and attractions throughout Holland. These ‘gems’ are unique and unusual but known to only a few. Throughout 2008, these ‘gems’ will play an important role in promoting Holland both nationally and internationally.
